Arduino to activate another device kepad

Can someone help with references that will cover my project.

Have a device (not Arduino) with a 5 key keypad to enter instructions 1 or more presses and enter. Want to use an arduino input keypad (5 or above) that will have code for each button to sequence the button presses on the other device. That is the other device will receive a momentary on instruction(s) + enter. This will instruct the other device as required.
Input keypad there are plenty of advice on line. I will parallel the connections from the device keypad to out pins on Arduino. Need help on having code to send momentary pulse to device keypad. Thankyou

Lots of unknown devices in Your presentation. Is the project a military secret?
You make the code, not we. Start by trying code from the IDE examples. Buttons will be the closest.
