Trying to get Arduino 4 to fire 8 relays, but in sequence with 1 external trigger to activate each relay 1 time.

Did you have a problem with or question about any of the Arduino command line tools?
Have the 2nd relay use one of it's NO contacts to trigger a 555 timer that fires the next relay. Repeat as needed. The 1st relay is triggered by the Arduino.

Not to hard to accomplish. Sense when the switch is tripped. Then turn on relay 1 and delay(?), then turn off relay 1 and turn of relay 2 and delay(?) etc. When you get to the end of the loop it will start at the top waiting to be triggered again. That is poor coding but it will give you what you asked for.
