Arduino to Laptop can cause damage?

Hey!

I thought, if there's not enough power provided from my laptop USB, then nothing will start.
But I also heard that it could damage the laptop 'because Arduino will draw more power.

How do I understand this more? I did read some of the Ohms law, kind of understand the part that components in the circuit can be damaged if given too much power etc, but the power source (laptop)

Anyone has a good info or links where I can read? Thanks!

An Arduino will work fine with a laptop. It's the only type of PC I have.

Just do not try to draw excessive current from the Arduino - it will probably be more likely to damage the Arduino.

If you tell us what you are thinking of doing it will be easier to give useful advice. For example do NOT power a motor or Servo from the Arduino 5v pin.
