Arduino to turn on 24V LED strip

Hi guys,

I'm planning on switching a 24V LED strip on or off using the TIP120 transistor. The power supply of the strip is 24V and 0.13 A. I've attached a simple schematic of the wiring. Can I use the transistor and LED strip is this way?

That looks like it should work.

Yes, for only 130 mA that obsolescent transistor should work OK and you are not going to notice the 1.5 V drop on your 24 V LED strip.
