Arduino UDP client

Hi,

I am very new to Arduino. I have the Uno and the Wiznet ethernet shield.

I am hoping to set the Arduino as a UDP client, to communicate with a UDP server written in C# on a PC. Basically, what I am going to do is scan an RFID card, send the RFID card to the UDP server and validate the RFID card exists. I have found lots of tutorials on making the Arduino a UDP server, but not simply a client.

Is there anything out there that will get me started? The closest page I have found is - http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/EthernetUDPWrite

However, I can't work out how this works - Udp.beginPacket(Udp.remoteIP(), Udp.remotePort());

How does it know the IP address the server is hosted on?

Thanks.

You’re asking how the UDB client knows the remote IP address and UDP port number to send an outgoing UDP packet to?
