Arduino Uno 3x3x3 Led Cube

Hi. i have made a led cube 3x3x3. I so want this to work but i am not so good at this.
I have everything set but when i want to upload the code to arduine i get this error:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

I have checked on the software that i am on Arduino uno and on the pc i have checked that my pc can see the arduino uno card.
Pliz help!

Do you have stuff plugged into pins 0 and 1? If so, unplug that stuff while uploading.

no, i have nothing plugged in there.. and i still get this message..
wahat can it be?
