Arduino Uno: Blink Example

I am working with Arduino for the first time, more exactly Arduino Uno. I have followed the instructions when it comes to the installation and setup process from Arduino IDE Setup | Introducing Adafruit PyGamer | Adafruit Learning System and installed the boards and everything. Now, I'm trying the Blink Example from Using with Arduino IDE | Introducing Adafruit PyGamer | Adafruit Learning System. I copied the code and tried to upload it, but it take forever to upload and in the end, I get this error message:

Thank you

Are you certain you have selected the correct COM port?

Are you using a genuine Arduino Uno, or a third-party clone?

Have you selected the correct com port in file/port?

Looks like the Adafruit PyGamer is its own board using an ATSAMD51J19 @ 120MHz.
Their library / examples would not be compatible with an UNO.

You would do a lot better to start with a Uno and follow any of the many "Getting started with Arduino" guides.
There's probably one on this very site. If you want to get Blink to run on an Arduino Uno, then the Adafruit PyGamer is not a good place to start.
You certainly shouldn't need to add extra boards at this stage of the game.
