Arduino UNO Bootable Problem.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I have UNO Arduino Board which is working properly. I want to learn how to make ATMEGA 320P I.C. bootable and hence, I purchased one unbootable IC from the market and installed it on my Arduino UNO board but I am unable to burn bootloader on my IC by using Burn Bootloader option from Tools Menu of Arduino IDE Software.

  1. My Operating System is MS Windows 7 Ultimate / 64 Bits.

  2. Type of Board Is Arduino UNO.

  3. Error Message Is As Under.

Arduino: 1.8.7 (Windows 7), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Sketch uses 5444 bytes (16%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.
An error occurred while uploading the sketch
