Yesterday I uploaded a sketch but there was an error:
avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\\.\COM6": Impossibile trovare il file specificato.
then I tried the emergency maneuver, I reinstalled the software and at the end I tried to look for the card in '' Device Manager '' without finding it.
I tried to find a solution in the forum, but I was not successful. The computer has Windows 10.
You might have a charge-only or defective USB cable that doesn't provide a proper connection. Try using another cable that you know is good for data or verify your current cable works for data on a different device.
Do you have a multimeter or anything else you can use to test continuity (which could be as simple as an LED)? If so, check that there's continuity between the appropriate pins on each end of the cable.
I'm sorry I'm a beginner but from what I understood I had to connect a led between the 5 watt and the GND pin and check that it turned on.
I did it and the led turns on (I put a resistance to not make it burn)
I tried it but the LED does not light up in all 4 conductors (I think I did something wrong).
I do not know if this is useful but the rx and tx LEDs are always off.

Either that or the cable doesn't have all the lines connected. It's fairly common for people to be trying to use a charging USB cable that doesn't have the data lines connected, only the power lines.
If I was you and I suspected I did something wrong while testing the cable then I'd test it over again and do it right this time. It is pretty tricky to hit those little contacts on the mini or micro B plug. Certainly there's no harm in having an extra USB cable. I'm really surprised you don't own a whole pile of them already.
