arduino uno code upload error

Hi All,

I am new to arduino and was trying a simple project using bluetooth and 8 relay module.

The 8 Relay module's VCC and GND is connected to +5V and GND of arduino respectively, and HC5 bluetooth's RX and TX is connected to Arduino's RX and TX along with it's VCC and GND to +3.5V and GND of arduino respectively.

Using Arduino IDE when i try to upload the code, I am getting the following error

Global variables use 420 bytes (20%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1628 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

If I remove the TX and RX from the module and then upload the code, then the code is uploaded but post that when I connect TX and RX and connect bluetooth using phone and pass a command, the relay is unresponsive. I have selected correct port and board in the IDE. How can i resolve the above error while the TX and RX lines are connected to the module. The relay is also working fine. I checked it by connecting the GND from module to every pin of the relay.

Thanks in advance
Ajinkya

You have not posted your code but it sounds like you have used pins 0 and 1 in your program but they are used by USB serial so cannot be used as IO pins at the same time

Please post your code

HC5 bluetooth's RX and TX is connected to Arduino's RX and TX

Does that mean that you have connected RX to RX and TX to TX?

I used a software serial port for the Bluetooth module when I was experimenting with the HC05 so as not to conflict with program upload and viewing output over the hardware serial port.
