I connect the Arduino UNO in the pc, but Win7 does not recognize (nothing appears, it is as if it had never been connected). I would like help please, I just bought an original Arduino Uno to study, but I could not get it to work.
Are you sure its an "ORIGINAL"
I stayed 2 days testing numerous drives that I downloaded through the zip file of the site, but I do not know why I connect the arduino in the pc win7 does nothing, it is as if nothing had connected. I bought the free market and it was written that it was original, I looked at the chip and it is written ATMEGA328P-PU. Do you have any way of knowing if it's not original? Thanks anyway for the reply.
I just tested the drive you linked but it also did not work. The arduino uno when connected to the computer blinks the led, but the pc does not identify any installed hardware.
What is listed in DEVICE MANAGER in windows ?
Anything that may have an issue ?
What is listed under PORTS ( COM & LPT ) ?
Thats your starting point as until windows can see it then nothing else will.
Please poct a decent pic of the smaller chip near the USB port too so we can try and tell what you have.
Or the writing on the chip if you can see it well enough.
I could not get a decent photo, so I took a magnifying glass and found the following:
Atmel
Mega16u2
1514 PH
A2MWJA
I checked all my USB inputs, they all recognized my cell phone for example and in all of them the arduino blinked an orange light, as if it was on, but nothing appeared on my pc. I took a print from my device manager.
Well its the correct chip for a genuine UNO but your computer is not seeing it.
So either the bootloader is broken or the 16u2.
Does the computer play a sound when you plug in the UNO ?
If it does I wonder if you have any software for your phone that is interfering with the UNO (has happened to others)
If it doesn't play the hardware found noise then chances are the 16u2 is pooched.
BTW when doing any tests make sure nothing else is connected to the UNO.
Try other cables.
Take it to a friend or your parents or ... and hook it up to their PC. Does it work there?
What is a "free market"? Flea market? If so, you might have bought a broken one.
