Hi! I have a arduino uno REV3 and 2 ethernet shields.
When i connect a ethernet cable to the sield the lights do not light up correctly, the orange light is allways on. I already replaced uno ethernet shield and it happens the same.
I tried the example in Arduino IDE othe the ethernet webserver, didn't work.
I did the reset on the shield too.
What coulb be the problem? Hardware problem with the UNO?

From memory it is possible for pins on the bottom of the shield to short with the USB connector on the Uno. Check that is not happening
Thanks! Yes, i think that the bottom of the shiled touched ther Uno usb connector of the UNO. So my shield can be damaged, right?
The shield or Uno may be damaged but quite probably not
Does the Uno work with the shield removed ?
If it is OK then try insulating the top of the USB connector (I used masking tape) and install the shield again
I made the reset to the UNO and the shield worked. What is the problem now and the webserver only works for a few seconds after power on. To work again only after a power off, but it allways works for a few seconds
i have replaced the shield and it works with the new shield. Thanks
