Arduino Uno L led Always blinking

Hi to all, I am new to arduino and just bought my first arduino uno, but when I tried to plug it, the L led is always blinking. When I tried to insert a led into no. 13 and ground, it syncs with the blinking of the L led. I cant also upload a program to it.

Is my board damaged?

The blink is normal. You just need to get the upload working,

Please do this:

  • File > Preferences > Show verbose output during: > compilation (uncheck) > upload (check) > OK
  • Sketch > Upload
  • After the process fails you'll see a button on the right side of the orange bar "Copy error messages". Click that button.
  • Paste the error messages in a reply here USING CODE TAGS (</> button on the toolbar).

Aldren:
insert a led into no. 13 and ground

You did use a current limiting resistor, right?

Thank you for your attention.

Here is the error code in after my uploading.

avrdude done. Thank you.

Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.

I also noticed that in my device drivers the arduino driver is not installed. Could the problem be from not proper installation?

Im really sorry but Im still learning on this ang I just got my arduino board.

Most Arduinos come pre-loaded with the blink sketch, so the blinking can be considered normal.

COM1 is usually not the Arduino. If it is the Arduino, it will disappear of you disconnect the Arduino. If there are no other ports to choose from in the IDE, check what device manager has to say about it.

Thank you all for your attention. I just downloaded a driver and changed com1 port to com3. It finally worked.
