Arduino uno not accepting sketches

Hi all, So I just updated my operating system to windows 10 from windows vista. Everything I had is now in a folder called windows.old on my system. I reinstalled all my programs which wasn't a problem. I have a cnc machine that uses an arduino uno and grbl but it doesnt use the ide, except it needs the drivers so I got the ide and installed the drivers successfully, and the cnc machine works. I do have another uno that I use except when i try do download any sketch it gives me an error. My drivers are installed properly. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks
