Hello,
Since my raspberry pi died last week, I decided to buy a new arduino uno board.
First, I installed the Arduino software, then I plugged the USB cable with arduino. Everything went well. I played a little bit dimming a led strip with tip120 transistor. After I've uploaded a few times different version of code, suddenly I heard the plugg out sound from pc, however the Arduino was still powered. After that, I wasn't able at all to upload any cod on the board and I've also tried a few different computers. I also tried looking in the device manager, tried mixing a 12 V power source with the usb plugged in the PC...but, nothing. Also, when I'm looking for the ports in the Arduino software, I can fin only: -serial ports - port 6 - port 7 - port 10 - port 11. Initially I think the port was 13 or something different, but the point is that I can't find it anymore.
My opinion, I think something happened to the Arduino. Any Idea what could damage the Arduino board? Any idea how to fix it?
P.S. I use windows 7 ultimate, but I've also tried on xp. I'm preatty sure the problem is from the board. Oh, and btw, I mentioned that the board was still powered by USB; well, the controller also worked for the last code I could upload on the controller. So, the board is working well, but I simply cannot upload any code anymore.
