Arduino Uno not uploading

Hi Guys,
So, I have an arduino uno r3 (not wired to any thing) but when I try to upload any sketch (even an empty sketch) first it takes too long in "Uploading..." then it comes with this error:
Arduino: 1.8.0 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Sketch uses 444 bytes (1%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.

I have tried the loopback test and I checked that I have the right board it Tool/Board and the right port in Tool/Port

See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.

Which item on the list is "Whine on the forum"? Way down at the bottom. By the time you've worked through the list, you'll KNOW the answers you need to provide BEFORE we have to beat the answers out of you.

But I didnt find any solution on this website. Please if you know how to fix it tell me how.

If you have the right board and serial port selected, about the only thing left is the USB cable. Have you tried a different cable?

No. But I use it on my old arduino and it works.
but I burnt that old arduino bec. I tried to power it with 11.1 volt through the gnd and 5v pins

So, what dumb thing did you do to this one?

If you mean with the old one I told you that I tried to power it with 11.1 volts through the 5v pin.
If you mean with the new one I didn't do anything it was working before. :frowning:

but my friend was using it and shorted the + and - in a battery but it wasn't connected to the arduino

Any help ? :frowning:
