Arduino UNO r3, CNC V3 SHIELD

Hello all. This is my first post.
I bought an arduino uno and a CNC V3 Shield.
I am using Arduino IDE Downloaded from this site.
I am also using GRBL
My system is Linux Mint 17.3
I also am using UniversalGcodeSender-v1.0.4-all64

Ok, Everything works. I can load GRBL, I can send Gcode commands and move My X Y Z stepper motors.

I have tested all kinds of Steppers and hey all work fine.
My problem is that i can not change the speed of the steppers, they seem to be running at a default setting ( very slow).

I have tried everything to get the steppers to move faster.

Maybe someone has had a similar problem. Please help.

Thanks, I upgraded the grbl to version.9 now it works like a charm.

For future reference, you are not likely to get detailed help about GRBL on this Forum. GRBL is a complex program and this Forum is primarily for helping people write their own programs.

The RepRap forum or some of the CNC Forums would probably have more info on GRBL.
