Arduino Uno R3 unable to upload errors

I recently received an Ardino Uno R3 Atmega16u2. I haven't been able to upload anything, this is my first Arduino and first time using Arduino IDE and I can't figure out what the problem is. The Arduino shows up under boards and also a COM but only the RX LED light blinks and when I go to upload it compiles and gets ready to upload then gives me an error and references me to the forum. I have another generic Uno I just got with the Atmega16u2 and I get the same error for that one as well. Also when I pick a serial port the list has multiple of the same COM so when I select COM 3 there is 3 other COM3s that are check marked.

I am just trying to upload the Blynk example under the file menu.

Any help would be appreciated, sorry in advanced for my lack of experience.

Try restarting your computer and then make an other attempt at uploading. Sometimes a glitch will cause COM ports to get stuck in an unusable state and restarting the computer will fix that.

Thanks for the advice! I will try that when I get home today I don't know why I didn't try and restart my computer the other day. I believe it's something related to my computer because it gives me the same code for both of my Arduinos and one is brand new. I'm also going to try uploading from one of my laptops to help further troubleshoot the issue.
