Arduino UNO R4 & BLE Bike Beacons

Hi! My daughter and I want to create an arduino project for our bikes and helmets.
We have a rack with 4 bikes and 4 helmets.

We would like to add BLE beacons to the bikes and helmets so we know whether they have been taken off the rack or not.

Is there an Arduino or Ardunio kit that can make this?

I was going to use the Arduino® UNO R4 WiFi and purchase these beacons:
DX-Smart Wireless DA14531 Indoor Cargo Tracking and Positioning Blue Tooth Beacon BLE

Just thought I'd post it here while I'm researching. Thanks!

BLE as well as beacon are known things but what would BLE beacons be?
Sales sites are most useless. Technical documentation as manuals, datasheets, are useful, not bragging words.

Surely forum can assist You. Take a look at this link: How to get the best out of this forum - Development Tools / IDE 1.x - Arduino Forum

Forum does not design projects, no schematics made, no coding done. Show what You got and we will give suggestions, advice.

The beacons you are proposing have a 60-70 meter range. How will you know if the bike/helmet is on or off the rack?

Are you designing an anti theft system?

Where will the BLE central be located? Are you restricted to use a uno R4 as the central?

Thanks Railroader - Will show my progress, and place in appropriate forum at that time!

Hey Cattledog!

The bikes are outside under an open roof, with about 100 ft around them on 3 sides, and a short path on the other.

Thought was if the beacon leaves the shed area, the beacon would not be able to ping the arduino central unit and we will know which one is out riding!
I'd play around around parameters on timing etc...

The arduino will live on or above the rack. Just chose the uno R4 for its robust capabilities - size and power are not an issue.

I was planning to reduce the broadcast range of the beacon in the app SDK and / or house the arduino to try limit the span of the range.
It's really just for fun - I'd like to incorporate some LEDs and other fun things later while I learn more about this. Appreciate you all!

*(thought on theft - how about a squawking rooster sound haha! that's for later!)
