I'm facing a problem with my Arduino UNO r4 Wi-Fi. Problem - Whenever I am trying to connect my Arduino UNO r4 Wi-Fi to my laptop it is showing 'arduino uno r4 wifi on COM6[Not connected]'. Even it's built in orange colour light is not glowing, not only this, whenever I double click on the reset button then also the light is not glowing. One strange thing is that the ON light (green in colour) is continuously glowing, and my board is getting hot faster as usual. I am using a data cable.
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. Did it ever work as expected?
What does Windows device manager think of your board?

my board is almost 1 year old. I have programmed it many times before. Even used it a many times in different projects. This problem started when i was powering my arduino uno r4 wifi board using batteries and by mistake i applied 8.7 volts on 5 volts port.
it is not discoverable in Windows Device Manager.

Get a new board.
