Arduino Uno Wifi Rev2 Board cannot be detected

Hello, I unboxed my brand new Arduino Uno Wifi Rev2 board today and connected it to my USB port with a lot of excitement to tinker with it. Unfortunately the USB bus just does not see the board. I tried it with a MAC, Windows and Ubuntu Linux computer, all ending up with the same inability to see the board as a serial device. I have a regular Arduino Uno board and all those computers have no problem seeing it and programming it.

Is this a faulty board or is there something different about these Uno Wifi Rev2 boards to have them detected by the Arduino IDE ?

Are you using the same USB cable that worked with the Uno on the Uno WiFi Rev2?

Make sure the USB cable is fully plugged in to the Uno WiFi Rev2.

On the Windows system (I don't know the equivalent on the other OS), do you see any new device appear after you plug the Uno WiFi Rev2 into your computer?
