i am using an arduino UNO board but evertime i power up my board my previous program get overwrited by the blink program that come pre installed wth the board.
please help me cz everytime i hav to upload the program before using it on same project

I had this with my UNO to, it was a "faulty" bootloader.
My supplier swapped it at no cost.
You can replace the bootloader, just search for it in the forum and arduino website.
had the same problem here, the bootloader here http://arduino.cc/forum/index.php/topic,64105.0.html fixed it for me.
