Hi all,
I have just started out with an Arduino Uno and program it with Web Editor. Examples work nicely.
Now, my goal is to have the MCU run standalone, with the internal 8MHz crystal and as few additional components as possible (to save space).
I stumbled across https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ArduinoToBreadboard
But I have no clue how to integrate the breadboardXYZ.zip libraries in the Web Editor.
The libraries contain a folder structure and only two actual files: boards.txt, and ATmegaBOOT_168_atmega328_pro_8MHz.hex
How do I procede? Is there maybe another guide you can recommend? Will this work with the Web Editor at all?
Thanks a lot in advance

There's no way to do that. You just need to use the standard Arduino IDE, which you can download here:

You also might be interested in a more popular alternative to that "breadboard" hardware package:
Thanks!
Just in case another newbie will be following this thread and installing minicore:
In order to burn the bootloader, you will need a programmer. It will not work when all you have is the ATmega328P sitting in the arduino uno board. I guess this is self evident for anyone who's a bit familiar with MCUs or Arduino. But it took me a while to understand this. In particular, it is not clear from the MiniCore instructions, but only from more basic arduino guides, e.g. https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ArduinoISP
Most interestingly, if I understand correctly, if you have the Uno board, you will only need another 328P and a breadboard and you can use the Uno (with 328P) as programmer, to burn a bootloader onto the 328P in the breadboard.
The sketch (Arduino program) that turns your Arduino board into a programmer is found in Arduino IDE in "File > Examples > ArduinoISP".
Just ordered the second 328P...
