Idea: A Website ran from and Arduino that controls a set of 4 relays, these relays control POWER Switches (Like that you would plug a Light or External Harddrive for instance into). You can Click things on the website to turn them on and off.
Materials on hand: An Arduino Uno + Mega, A Sainsmart 4 Channel Mechanical Relay, A Controlled Power Switch (I need to get this, but essentially it lets you use digital pins to turn things on or off and it plugs into the wall, it's safer than messing mains AC), Various Wires/Components
Knowledge: I can do the programming for the most part (Although this would be my first large project with arduino), the electronics part would be iffy though. Im not 100% sure of the connections. I can cannot the sainsmart to the relay, after that Im really not sure.
Feasbility of this? The Server should be somewhat simple i'd think. the rest im not so sure.......I might just do a sample project that just controls an led or something maybe first? then move to relays.
Thoughts? Ideas?
