Arduino Webserver and using PushingBox Notifications

Hi. I have been working on a home automation system. I have the web server part working fine porting trough, etc. I can monitor and control the IO from a webpage served out from the SC card. I wanted to add a notification system too. I have PushingBox working by its own fine and it trips and sends messages,etc. The issue is using the two together. When I merge the two programs, the web server works, but the pushingBox fails to connect. I suspect its because the web server can not act as a client at the same time. I am alright with disconnecting the web server when sending the notification then reconnecting after the message is sent, I am just not sure how to do that, or if there is some other way. When the input is tripped it enters the routine, but never gets past the client.connect condition

char serverName = “api.pushingbox.com”;

if (client.connect(serverName, 80)) {

I am not a network or Arduino Genius, looking for some help at a basic level… Thanks

sounds like an interesting project you have going there - somewhere i can read more about this?

you provide very little information - is this on an arduino? uno? w5100 ethernet shield?

try if you can load a webpage while the webserver is running. from the pushingbox website i gather the notification is just accessing a 'webpage'.

Combined client/server test code:

//zoomkat 10-02-14, combined client and server
//simple button GET with iframe code
//for use with IDE 1.0
//open serial monitor and send a g to test client GET and
//see what the arduino client/server receives
//web page buttons make pins high/low
//use the ' in html instead of " to prevent having to escape the "
//address will look like http://192.168.1.102:84 when submited
//for use with W5100 based ethernet shields
