Arduino wifi visibility project - what do i need?

Hello Arduino people,

I'm new here, and new in gerenal to working with the Arduino, so I hope someone can help me start this project.

I want to use an Arduino to make invisible electronic signals (wifi for example) visible. It would be a sensor of either light, sound or maybe something else that I will think of whilst building this device. Thanks to 'Digital Ethereal' which is a similar project I have found one way of creating this. (And don't worry I connected to creator as well, I don't want to 'steal' anything, this is just the beginning of a bigger project) But next to code, I have no idea with what kind of gear I have to start. Which extra Arduino peaces I need, how many, etc. I hope someone can help me start this project.

Well, thanks for your time!

Bye,

Arrie

The below might be of interest. I usually post this link for those that think RF signal strength can be used for distance measurement.

@OP,
It this what you are talking about ? I assume you didn’t mean the actual data ? (Like a display that displays the wifi packets as 1s and 0s or ASCII ?
