Hi all.
I am fairly new to Arduino and I am planning on using it as part of my final year project for my BA degree. I am looking to transmit data via GPRS to a database on a server. I am making a data logger of sorts that will, at the touch of a button, transmit wirelessly a data packet (possibly a timestamp) to a database that will be stored (my development blog is http://danlake.com/blog/archives/category/project). Basically I am looking for help or guidance from anyone who has experience with GPRS and arduino. I 'm not sure how possible this is or whether to look down another way of logging the data.
I have looked at GPRS units, and it seems the only one custom built for arduino is libelium's GPS and GPRS module but this seems to be a limited edition. Is there any other GPRS units that I could use??
