Would like to organise an Arduino workshop in Montreal, Canada area if anyone is interested. Intéressé a partir un groupe d'intérêt Ardunio dans la région de Montréal s'il n'existe pas déja.
we are holding our first South Western Ontario Arduino Meeting on march 21st at the University of Waterloo, and I'm glad to see our Quebecois neighbours in action.
I am actually going to be in Ottawa at the end of April (weekend of the 18th or the 25th). If we can get a group of people, I might be able to drop by as Ottawa is only about an hour and a half away. It would be nice to visit Montreal again, I did my first coop job there and loved every minute of it. Hopefully, I'll be able to settle there in the future.
Hi GPX. I'm glad to tell you there is interest in Montreal. You might want to look at http://foulab.org/, we were talking about hosting an Arduino workshop soonish. We're always into having others participate. Let me know if you'd want to want more (best way to reach me is on the IRC channels #arduino or ##foulab on freenode or PM me)
Thanks guys, I will check it out.
Gil
There's me too in the area, I am very busy for the following month but I still work on my OBDuino from time to time.
But now there is nothing Arduino left in the code, I rewrote everything and use gcc in cygwin now, and do not use a bootloader
still I keep the name because my first prototype was using a Freeduino and their GUI.
This is a great little board nonetheless, especially for beginners.

Magister you seem to be forgetting that arduino uses avr-gcc too
Arduino describes both the board, the IDE , the bootloader and the API. I Never use the IDE, sometimes use the board, sometimes the bootloader, always avr-gcc and most of the time I still use the API
Anyway, drop by the lab sometimes.
On another note, we are planning on hosting Arduino "jam sessions" for Arduiners to hang out and play. Something less formal than a workshop. How does that sound?
Sounds very good, let me know when and where.

I might not remember to come here... you should check our website http://foulab.org/ there's a feed and/or newsletter you can subscribe to. We're on freenode also.
Bonjour à vous tous! Hi every one!
If it's in English, I'm interested too!
Salut Albotech, comme je disais plutôt, inscrit toi au flux rss ou à la mailing list sur notre site web. Dès que les choses se calmes un peu j'organise quelque chose.
Hey everyone / Bonjour ![]()
This is a little late but Foulab will be hosting a basic electronics and beginner's Arduino workshop this Saturday along with a couple other workshop! Followed by another Foulab DIY party!
Be there or be square (wave) ![]()
