Arduino Yun and Stepper Motors

I've been trying to get an Arduino Yun to control a stepper motor using the Easy Driver Stepper Motor Driver and the basic wiring diagrams shown at Easy Driver Examples. I've had almost no success and now I have a Yun that may be bricked.

Does anyone have a working example of a Yun controlling a Stepper Motor? The best I could do was to get the Yun to turn the Stepper in a very jerky motion and without much speed or direction control. Is the Yun suitable for this kind of project or should I have stuck with the Uno?

What kind of stepper motor are you using? Do you have a link to the product? BTW, you should provide links to all hardware not being originally from Arduino itself. Also provide the sketch you tested with and links to all the library you used. Why do you think the Yun may got bricked?
