The LED's on the board wouldn't turn on, even though I connected the board to the computer.I can upload and run sketches on the board but the wifi doesn't work.What is happening? How can I solve it?
Try to upload the YunSerialTerminal sketch and open the serial monitor. Then Reset the linux side with the Yun-RST button keeping the serial monitor open and tell us what you see.
I'm having an almost identical issue. Unfortunately my IDE won't even recognize my Yun on a COM port or over wifi so I can't even upload the YunSerialTerminal sketch. Any info on this?
Has your WiFi quit working or has not worked at all.

steppen9 does the "on" led turn on? if not, I think you fried it. It's happened during a workshop just a week ago: reason was that the student plugged a powered on motor shield.
Yeah, I think I fried my Arduino, because I plugged in 9v before.
