Arduino Zero & Eclipse -- "couldn't open build.path/ArduinoHowTo.bin"

I was unsure whether to post it to the Eclipse Thread or to the Zero-Thread, but finally I decided to post it here since I believe it is a Problem related to the usage of the Zero with Eclipse.

When I want to send my (fairly simple - essentially the blink-example) code to the Zero, the following error occurs:

The code I want to send is the following:

#include <Arduino.h>

void setup() {

void loop() {
	  digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH);   // turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level)
	  delay(1000);                       // wait for a second
	  digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW);    // turn the LED off by making the voltage LOW
	  delay(1000);                       // wait for a second

The build works just fine, resulting in this log:

Building ArduinoHowTo
make: Nothing to be done for 'all'.
Program store usage: 11487 of maximum 262144 bytes

I also checked the output-folder, all files are created correctly. I’m also using the default folder for the Arduino-IDE.

When I try to load the exactly same code to the ZERO using the “normal” IDE, everything works just fine.

  • Eclipse:
    / Version: 2019-09 R (4.13.0)
    / Build id: 20190917-1200

  • Arduino IDE: 3.0 (most recent)

  • SAMD-Plugin: 1.8.4

Thank you very much in advance!

Hey, I have the same problem. Could you fix this?
