Hi there, sorry if I post in wrong section but i heard Arduino just make a new microcontroller "Arduino Zero"... is Arduino Zero compatible with other shields like WiFi, Motor and Ethernet and also cc3000 modules.
I`m planning to buy it if most of the shield are compatible with Arduino Zero. TQ
"Warning: Unlike most Arduino boards, the Arduino Zero board runs at 3.3V. The maximum voltage that the I/O pins can tolerate is 3.3V. Applying voltages higher than 3.3V to any I/O pin could damage the board. "
What do the other shields need?
Will newer shields use the IOREF pin to discover the voltage of their host? The pin was originally made to do that, so why not use it now?
Ask the shield designers. Takes extra components (increased cost) to provide autoswitching between levels. I would find it more straightforward to design for one or the other for just about everything.
