arduino0012 and bare bones board

Hi I hope someone can help.

I just downloaded 0012 and now can't load sketches to my Modern Device bare-bones board rev.d. it was working with 0011 with the board selected as Arduino Decimila but not any more. Both versions load to my Decimila.
I am using a FT232RL usb to serial breakout board from sparkfun and I know the board is working because it is still sending data to the serial monitor.

This is the message I get when trying to upload using both 0011 & 0012:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0xe6

I would suggest asking the makers of the board for help. I believe Modern Device has its own forums.

You better check with Paul but my guess is that auto-reset is not working with this device.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction,
you are correct it does seem to be an auto reset problem. Now all I have to do is find a way to fix it. Perhaps my soldering is a bit dodgy, all part of the learning process.
