I'm starting to program AVR with C in the AVR Studio.
Can I use the ArduinoISP as a burner to atmega1284 just connecting Vcc, GND, MISO, MOSI, SCK and RESET pins as said in the ArduinoISP sketch comments? Or should I buy a burner?

sure you can... I am not shure if avr studio can recognize arduino as a programer.. If you cant program, try to use Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting..
You can get programmer for about $20, I'd get one anyway as a backup.
