ArduinoISP won't burn bootloader with Windows 10 & IDE 1.8

I've just purchased an ArduinoISP board to burn the bootloader onto a couple of UNO R3 compatible boards which won't allow uploading of sketches. The ArduinoISP is a genuine Arduino product bought via RS Components.

First, the drivers on the arduino.cc site won't install on Win10 so I got the drivers from the arduino.org site and they installed fine. I took the opportunity to download and install IDE 1.8.0 at the same time.

However, when following the instructions for using the ArduinoISP to burn the bootloader I get the message "Error while burning bootloader". I attach a txt file showing the detailed error log.

Any suggestions as to how I can overcome this?

Thanks

"Connect the Arduino ISP to your computer with a micro USB cable, and connect the target board to a power source (USB cable or with the power jack). The target board can also be powered from the Arduino ISP. To enable this feature you have to close the SJVCC jumper, with a soldering iron and a drop of soldering tin. "

Thanks kprims. I have connected the ArduinoISP and UNO as you suggest but still get the error.

Did you close the SJVCC jumper on the board? Is the Uno powered up with the ArduinoISP plugged in?
Try a different USB port.
