Hello! I have built my cnc router using arduino uno with estlcam. My problem is when I enable the limit switches. When the spindle is off everything works fine. When the spindle is on and I run a tool path I have message for limit switches and the program stop.
Also I don't know if I have to power the arduino with 12v power supply.
I use it only with USB and common earth with cnc steperdrivers.
Electric motors are very electrically-noisy. I strongly suspect that your switche leads are picking up intereference.
As a start add electrical filters to these, simple R-C should help. As a first guess soemthing like 470R and 100nF. Values are not critical.
OK, thanks for the advice. About the 12v supply? I have to connect it on the uno?
