Ok now that we have gotten the formality out of the way, I want to know where I can do some R&D and hook my radio up to my pc and use it as a motion capture uint.

Most PC can't capture RC pulses directly. You would use a microcontroller to capture the pulses and send the data to the PC over a serial connection.
