Ardunio Yun And matlab communicating over WIFI using UDP

I recently bought a Arduino yun. I want to communicate Matlab with arduino. I am trying UDP method to transmit. I have connected my WiFi to the access point of arduino yun. Wifi status is showing connected but when i am try to transmit my message it is neither receiving nor transmitting. Please help me with this.

I want to help but theres little info in your post. We miss codes (both arduino an matlab code), schematics and so on.
