I bought an Arduino board. it says on it (ARDUINO Diecimila ATMEGA328). I have an old one that says (ARDUINO Duemilanove ATMEGA328).
What is the difference between both. I need to know especially that I am going to buy about 20pc. The difference I noticed is only in the power jumper. In Diecimila, you have to set the jumper according to the power source you use. Is that all the difference?
The Diecimila is the old version, The Duemilanove is the current version. They are pretty much the same except for the power jumper. The Diecimila wasn't sold as standard with a 328 (the early Duemilanove had a 168 too). It sounds like revamped old stock or Hong Kong clones.
That is the main difference. They both have auto-reset feature, but implement it slightly different components, same results. I actually prefer the manual voltage switching method over the automatic mode, as it's simpler and gives the user more direct control on voltage mode to use.
