Are either of these TFT's going to be ok?

Having established that my mega2560/mcufriend 3.5 setup is a tad slow on screen rendering, I'll be looking to source a different display when this project advances, since I still want to use a mega/ megapro and use SPI will either of these displays on ebay be ok?

Both of your displays are for the RaspberryPi. I am sure that they will "work" with a RaspberryPi.

They use a 16-bit parallel module driven by a shift register instead of a proper SPI module.

No one as written an AVR Arduino library for these abortions as far as I know. The 3.3V hardware seems to be 5V tolerant.
Waveshare have example code for their Arduino-shape equivalent boards but it is not really amenable to using regular Arduino sketches.

Bodmer has written a library for ESP8266 and ESP32. I am sure that this will work fine.

David.

Thanks David, it's worth a punt, so you don't like the look of them then  it should quicker than my current setup though? I'm open to suggestions on what I should buy.....
