Are gyro sensors affected by gravity?

Hello,

I'm going to use a gyro of mpu-6050 to find the angle, and I'm going to test it in an experimental device that arbitrarily makes the gravity value 50g.
In this case, will the gyro of the sensor be affected by gravity? And in the case of acceleration, I understand that it is affected by gravity, is this right?

Thank you.

You know that you basically get rotational speed, not an angle?

Find out whether the gyro signal is affected by gravity by turning the module upside down. This makes a difference of 2g on the entire sensor.

I would also add to this, that this question is more in the area of physics, rather than electronics. You should do some reading about angular velocity, proper acceleration and related concepts if you want to understand the data the sensor is giving you better.

With a rate gyro, you can integrate over time to get relative turn angles, but only for a few minutes, as the gyro will drift. Be sure to calibrate and subtract the offsets.

Yes. The MPU6050 datasheet says that the "Linear Acceleration Sensitivity" is typically 0.1 degrees per second per g. At 50g your rate will be off by (typically) 5 degrees per second.
