Perhaps a really silly question, I wish to create these magnetic objects with NFC tags in them, and I'm wondering if it's safe for the shield (http://www.seeedstudio.com/depot/nfc-shield-p-916.html?cPath=190) to have a rare earth magnet lie on top of it...

Only a problem if the magnet is spinning at 135kHz!

I hope so, i've never damaged a magnet yet! 
magnetic strips, compasses, CRT's, magnetic tape, electromagnometers on the other hand.,,,,, all sadly destroyed or all need re-calibrating....
