I don't know the geographical location of all the forum members but it looks like there are no North Americans playing with the Uno Q yet. Is this true?
None of the official NA Arduino distributors seem to be advertising that they are shipping yet, on;y taking orders. I haven't ordered one yet so they may be shipping and I am not aware that they are.
I’m from Europe, but I bought mine from Mouser, and it was shipped from Texas. They had about 3,500 units on backorder and sold out between October 24th and the end of the month. I think they’ll have the next batch in a couple of weeks.

That's good to hear. I'm still not going to order one until they list the one with more storage but at least there are some trickling into Arduino's largest market.

I pre-ordered mine from Arduino, which was delivered. Took a little longer as
Fedex took a week to deliver it.
Hi, I am from Malaysia, pre-ordered the 4GB RAM ABX00173 variant via Element14 in the previous week. If not mistaken, it is available to pre-order on 24th October via Element14 worldwide and other sellers like Digikey, Mouser are following next for this variant.
I ordered mine from digikey.ca and while it was not in stock and was put on backorder it came approximately when they estimated it would be available.

Mouser here in Texas have the ABX00162 in stock now and have shipped about 50 units in the last week with a 500 piece stock bump expected 11/26. No information about the more storage version yet.
I believe that Arduino should have better modeled the release of the "Q" on some of the earlier "iphone" releases. That is, pile the devices high in the retailer stores, and organize a massively hyped advertising campaign with a special launch date. Finally sit back and watch as enthusiastic Arduino fans camp outside the dealers the night before with sleeping bags and thermos flasks filled with hot drink.
It is a poor show when customers are desperate to get their hands on these things and there is no available supply.
It looks like DigiKey's pipeline filled as well as they have >400 ready to ship.
Stockpiling lots of product before sale is a good idea for lots of reasons. For one, if there are any early complaints, sales volume doesn't suffer as much.
