Aruino Uno Speaker

I have the Arduino Uno board. How can I make a USB speaker that plugs into my computer and plays the sound? I am using a 0.5W (8 ohm) speaker.

I'm not sure if that's possible. The big challenge would be to make the Arduino "look like" a soundcard to the computer.

Then, you'd need a digital-to-analog converter and a power amplifier to drive the speaker.

You can find soundcard chips, and you might be able to find one that can directly drive a speaker. But, you can also buy a USB soundcard for about $5 USD...

You need a USB host shield, and then you need to write the drivers for it. Then you need to add an external D/A converter, filter and amplifier.

Not worth it is it?

dude, u can. becuz za usb has +,-,data+,data-

This shows you don't know what you are talking about. Look up the difference between USB host and USB client.
