Here many bodies are ready to help newbies like me. So, When you are helping us What causing you, Is it improving your programming skills? Is it made you think in different angle? Is it make you feel genius? Is it gives you more confidence?

It is the problem solving aspect that appeals to many. Also it is good to help. Some have been helped in the past and it is their way of paying back. This is called pay forward.

Agree with Grumpy, the problem solving here is fun, and helping people is rewarding in itself. Sometimes the problems/projects posted here are really inspiring too. And I never liked to be a couch potato.

There are lots of people on the forum who can program better than I can, and lots who know far more about electronics than I do. But we have all experienced the disappointment of receiving a new device/sensor and it appearing not to work. Where I can I want to demonstrate that it does work (or doesn't!) and once the person has reached that stage there are others who can help them on the rest of their journey.
And I learn things along the way too.
