Assistance accessing json api from arduino

Hi
Very new to Arduino programming.

I am trying to use and Arduino Uno and Ethernet shield to access a Domoticz server. Domoticz is a home automation server which can control various light switches, power sockets etc.
It has an API so that switches can be controlled directly. The URL is the following

http://192.168.0.50:8085/json.htm?type=command&param=switchlight&idx=3&switchcmd=On&level=

How would I code this so I can access it from the arduino? I dont need to store the response. All the guides and tutorials I have found are more about creating web servers on the arduino.

Any suggestions are welcome
Cheers

All the guides and tutorials I have found are more about creating web servers on the arduino.

There is an example that comes with the Arduino IDE that has the Arduino act as a client.

The URL is the following

http://192.168.0.50:8085/json.htm?type=command&param=switchlight&idx=3&switchcmd=On&level=

No. The URL is http://192.168.0.50:8085/json.htm. The rest is stuff added as things on the page are manipulated.

The URL consists of a protocol (http:), an IP address or server name (192.168.0.50, which is local to your home network), a port number (8085) and a script or file (json.htm).

The Arduino could make a GET request to access that page, but that page appears to be a user interface, which means that the GET requests should be being made TO the Arduino, not BY the Arduino. Which means that the Arduino should be a server.
