I'm new around here ... Recently I picked up an SIM800L GSM module I wish to use for a remote alarm system for power outages. I'm using Truphone as the provider with a prepaid Micro SIM card. Currently, I have not successfully received or sent an SMS message. I'm a bit lost at the moment with it and I'd appreciate if anyone could push me in the right direction?
The module has a steady red light on the right. Just left to it, there is another LED that blinks a little bit faster than once per second. This does not change when sending etc.
I do have a 4-digit pin that I was forced to set for the SIM card. I do not know if this is a factor or not. I have not found many resources regarding specifying the pin for the modem. Given the output of the code below, it appears to be connected to the T-Mobile network?
