I am little confused with crystal that runs in the Arduino Pro Mini microcontroller built by Sparkfun.
Looking at the schematic, choosing a voltage regulator of 3.3V I will be able to run the Atmega328 at 8Mhz using as a crystal: this http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=631-1100-ND.
I just want to confirm...
The internal oscillator is also 8 MHz, in case you didn't know, if you used the internal oscillator then you save money and board space by not having a crystal. Using the internal oscillator requires a change in the fuse bits to enable it. One possible disadvantage to internal oscillator is that it might be less precise than a crystal.
