If you searched 'all over the internet' and couldn't find it then it is a unique problem so you should contact Arduino support.

Even Uno R3 clones already come with the bootloader and you just need to upload a sketch. Why are you trying to burn the bootloader again?
When you plug your board in the PC, does a LED blinks like a 1 second ON 1 second OFF?
