Atmega328P current consumption during wake up

Hi,

When Atmega328P is running off a crystal the wakeup time is 65ms+. What is the current consumption during this 65ms?

Dont thinks its exacly specified.

Measure it, put a scope across a low value resistor in the power lead.

The startup current is about the same as the normal operating current. Surprisingly, so is the current draw when /RESET is active.

To significantly lower the current from 16 MHz operation, the chip must be either in a sleep mode, or clocked by a low frequency oscillator.

That was what I woud assume was meant by 'startup' the processor is asleep and it starts up .........

In the Idle sleep the oscillator is already running so the wake up time is only 4CK.

For the sleep modes where the oscillator is stopped it takes longer time for it to start. The datasheet does not say how much current it consumes in this time but I would guess it will be close to the Standby sleep. I am not sure if consumption in Standby is characterized in the datasheet - you may check for yourself.
